Look, I have no problem with the "Episode IV A New Hope" part. I can't help it. I was born in 1990, and I hardly paid attention to that part until finally noticing the crawl in 1997 when seeing it in Theaters. Since then I saw it as "Episode IV." Excuse me for not being around in 1977, damn. >_>

There still aren't parts 1-3. They all sucked. Hoping J.J. Abrams does better.

I was probably 5 years old when I first saw this and it's still the only Star Wars film where I have the crawl memorized.

I wouldn't doubt it. Studios often underestimate the intelligence of moviegoers. As a kid, I knew the trilogy was parts 4 through 6 and never wondered what happened to parts 1 through 3; it was just obvious that there was no parts 1 through 3.

I guess they didn't want to do that until they could be certain that it would be successful enough to make a sequel. It was inexplicably a success.
