for every 10 kilos removed 1 HP. that's a known. figure the tmax has around 38 on the dyno, vs 55 &the gilera is on a chain.I know both scooters very well. both R elite scooters in the market. what I hate most about them is the lack of space under the seat. How can the Burgman 650 and 400 for that matter do it very well. If someone gave me either (gilera or tmax) I would sell them for 50% off &get a burgman 650. it has it all. comfort/speed/space/folding mirrors windscreen/ABS.The G &TMAX lack

the fact that the gillera haves chain on final drive is not a plus.

also the t-max haves 2 chains on oil bath as a final transmision.

the japanese have made it service free but more difficult to build the italian

more easily to build but with maintance and noise from the chain.

no difference on power output there.

if you compare the two of them you will see that the t-max haves less power loss from the hp that the factory gives on the crank and what it shows on the dyno.

yeah right 75 hp vs 45 on the max..cmon man who you trying to BS..

and uphill as well..I don't like either but for the same price the Gilera is the obvious choice. it will destroy the max!

the t-max haves a Dry weight: 203.0 kg (447.5 pounds)

the gp800 haves 245.0 kg dry!!!

take out of the tmax 10kg from after makret exaust and other things.

the gp800 haves 75 hp on the crank not on the wheel.

on a dyno a stock gp800 haves around 55 hp on the rear wheel.

this scooters haves big difference when lighter.
