IOWA class far superior to Yamato in every category. Fire control, radar, engineering, powerplant, guns, ammunition, speed, range, etc...

@mrwxyz101 to be honest the war started for you in 1941, but it had been going a good year and half before the arizona was sunk. My great uncle left new zealand in 1940 and got back in 45, he very rarely talked about what he saw or did, i think that spoke volumes to me on how much action he saw.
