What can I say? He was amazing today! He's really responding to me in canter, and I've worked out that he goes a lot better with little nudges as you canter; he was a lot more forward going (which is good :D)
Yayy..we conquered tops =]. He was awesome, naturally.

  • Great riding but, whats an outline when the horse goes over the poles O_O please explain lol

  • sam only does it for a few seconds when he canters over the one pole, but 'working in an outline' is also called 'being on the bit', and it's when a horse is working between your hand and leg (i think, it might be a bit different), and they're forward going, and lower their head as they accept the bit.

some horses do it automatically because they've been taught, others, mostly riding school horses and ponies like sam don't do it automatically.

  • lol

    xx

    ok

  • it's just the single pole, not the three spread out btw :)

  • you're such a good rider! & your horse is cute.

he looks just like mine...he's sired by Rio Grande.

they really are idenctical, my horse & yours.

i'm not sure, but in this video your stirrups look short?

it just seems it...lol you're really good though.

    keep riding!

  • your an amazing rider!

im only 14 and i instruct..

one thing i notice alot is be careful of you lower leg swinging! but i think your just nudging him but if you were to show be careful cause i judge will take off points!

but ur an amazing rider and keep riding!

    :D

  • nice horse!

wow, thats hell weird.. my old horse looks exactly like that ++ i also have the same shirt, joddies and boots as youu!

    great jumping as well :)

  • u did good i do riding lessons because i love horses and we dont have the land for one they r the best

  • i know. in sam's case it's flies, pollen and the dust getting in his nose when he doesn't have it on.

but headshaking can be because of the rider.

  • Oh because i was talking to Sarah and she said it wasn't that it was flys and pollen...0_o
