Problem gambling (ludomania) is an urge to gamble despite harmful negative consequences or a desire to stop. The term is preferred to compulsive gambling among many professionals, as few people described by the term experience true compulsions in the clinical sense of the word. Problem gambling often is defined by whether harm is experienced by the gambler or others, rather than by the gambler's behavior. Severe problem gambling may be diagnosed as clinical pathological gambling if the gambler meets certain criteria. Although the term gambling addiction is common in the recovery movement[1] pathological gambling is considered to be an impulse control disorder and is therefore not considered by the American Psychological Association to be an addiction.

At no point in the "video" while the narrator is discussing his gambling problem does he ever mention the terms "poker", or "WSOP." The title of the video was obviously made to draw people to it.

Gambling addict = bets it all, all the time.

Do you understand gambling? What do you gamble on? How well do you understand probabilities? Are you good with money aside from your problem gambling?

Depending on what the answers are I might be able to give you some advice.

I'm a professional gambler and I understand it's not for everyone. But understanding the nature of different games can help people understand that they have no chance to win. In that case it's easier to stop.

i'm a compulsive gambler. it's a hard habit to kick. i don't believe in any of the "disease" mumbo jumbo. people gamble in the hopes of winning and it's hard when you lose and that's how it goes. a lot of people gamble. it's legal in a lot of places and a lot of people lose lots of money. each one does it in the hopes of winning and that;s why they keep coming back. if you can live without it, good for you. i hope to win a good amount someday, but i know it's a longshot. anyway, good luck.

FYI, I was born and raised in a city illuminated by casinos, and I started gambling in them with a fake ID when I was 17. I built up a bankroll playing poker and now I am trying to quit gambling because it has taken over my life. Win or lose, MY OPINION is that it is a miserable waste of life.
