  • I'm a Yup'ik Eskimo from Alaska, and Ute in my language is spelled yuut. It too means "The People". There's a place in Canada called Nunavut, and in my language and the language up in Canada, it means "Our Land." Yup'iit (native word for Yup'ik) means "The Real People". Noticed there's a lot of shared words between the Natives where I live and the Natives in other parts of North America. Loving learning about all this.
