This will walk you through the No Weld Grinder. A 2"x72" belt grinder (or sander) you build using our set of plans. No welding, milling or lathe work required. Simple build using common tools.
how does the tracking arm knob work? does it just move that top wheel left or right? and also for the wheels are there any cheaper substitutes for contact wheels cause they are pretty pricey?
Very nice work on both grinders good video I want to make a low speed leather strop grinder for sharpening knives. Could you tell me where can I buy the rollers?
could you do a video showing the seperate parts of the tracking block and how it works , i am almost up to that point and cant picture it from the plans
very nice i am building one as we speak. i have change some of the materials to use what is available to me . i learned a valuable lesson in building one with materials that were to light and had terrible vibration. so now i am rebuilding it again. this time i got the steel from online metals . great service by the way .i will forward pictures when it is complete
Its a nice grinder. Just one question, why no welding?
I welded a lot on my grinder and I really dont understand why anyone would bother with all those brackets. If you look for it you can find welders under 100EUR. I bought mine for 60 euros and it goes up to 160 amps.
Sir, I have the same motor you are using, WEG Farm Duty 1.5 hp single phase. I know you do not give advice on wiring but I am hoping you can make an exception since it appears we have the same motor. I need to know if you use a SPST switch. Please help. Having very difficult time finding info on how to wire. Thank you, Ross
This video sold me on the plans...thank you.
