He said in this speech in Tehran that he will run for presidency. He is a reformist and promoter of democracy in Iran. He introduced the idea of "Dialogue of Civilization" in UN. He is seen as the most reformist figure and the most democratic candidate in Iran for the June 2009 presidential election, in Iran.
