For my first 2 years riding I thought approaching the skills of the motorpolice would be unlikely to impossible. The third year I made it a goal but didn't seem to be making much progress. Then in the start of year 4 I started doing mostly slow ride practice. That changed everything. Now I'm certain that, given some more years I'll equal the skills of the average motor police rider. That's worth something because riding with skill is most of my fun and motor police have 1/10 the fatality rate of civilians.
