Navasota, Texas- A beautiful town North of Houston that is the "Blues Capital of Texas." The people are friendly and welcoming and the town has great sites to see! The great connection to music and art is alive and well in this city. The architecture is some of the best of any small town in Texas. Downtown has incredible storefronts and you'll find great Craftsman and Victorian homes throughout the city. Look for the river that meanders behind the city with the beautiful stonework. Great place to visit!

Yes, Navasota is a fine town. The article does not mention the fact that Mance Lipscomb was born there and spent his life (except for one year in Houston) in Navasota. The Blues festival held there each year is outstanding.
