Pale Blue Dot

I put this together to remind myself when I get angry or frustrated or whatever, that it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things. I am alive, I have my wife, I have my family, I have my friends, I have this moment. It is read by Carl Sagan and most of the imagery comes from the opening of the movie Contact, which is fitting, because it is based on Carl Sagan's novel by the same name. This is my first assemblage and it is pretty crappy but hey, it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things. If the universe and all that's in it was "created" just for us to live on this world and beat the crap out of each other... then it's an awful waste of space.

@sp4c3m0nk3ygl33k are you a religious person? why do you call Carl Sagan a deceiver? and how do you know we have souls? maybe it's you that has been deceived and are now a deluded person because of religion. You failed to understand this amazing message from Carl Sagan.

If the price for significance is as simple as infinite oblivion then you can take your heaven, you can take your religions, you can take your promises of salvation and eat them. This universe is my home, this galaxy my neighborhood and this planet my house. If, In my own house, I made a noticeable fraction of the difference Carl sagan has made, then I would take oblivion, And leave you to your whitewashed clouds. I may have misunderstood your comment though.

Good job... the human being is oblivious to what they can not see, they cannot fathom or dare think how truly insignificant we are, if they only could understand, then maybe... I would hope...just maybe... there could be Peace.
