Colonel Bleep was the first color cartoon made for TV.

From their earth headquarters on Zero Zero Island, Colonel Bleep, Squeek and Scratch battled intergalactic villains such as Doctor Destructo, the master criminal of the universe, The Black Knight, and Captain Patch, a displaced pirate.

  • I got to go to the Big Bill and OOmagog (a robot) Show they had the local syndication of Colonel Bleep. I was seven. Shocked to be able to find him on line and that he was the made for television cartoon! Who knew?

  • I guess that the background music was the typical stock score of the kind [maybe, appropriately, the music from "Plan 9 from Outer Space" ha ha!]

  • @5DollahBill I remember watching this a kidd in Brooklyn during the mid 60's and also never knew it was in colour, as we only had a B & W Tv...
