I built this trailer using the back end of a Scoot N Go scooter. I chopped the scooter in half and bolted on a wood frame. This trailer uses two motors: one is 350W, 24V and the other is 250W, 24V. I have an on/off switch for each motor so I can control how much power I need. Both motors are connected to the same chain. So only one wheel gets power. The batteries I am using are two 12V 18A lead acid batteries. Top speed for this trailer is 20mph, and normal cruising speed is 17mph. I am using the original freewheel from the scooter so that I can pedal with or without the motors.

  • Please keep making more videos, they are awesome.

  • @longp2000 When the ideas come to me and I build something, I will post it!

  • @77bjwest I get about 10 miles per charge depending on riding conditions.

  • I love the caster wheel for the hinge ... im currently building a trailer and I'm going through hinge options good job.. thumbs up.

  • I actually got this hinge idea from the Instructables website. Someone else had used something similar to this. They have a lot of great ideas there! I tried several prototype trailers until I arrived at this one. I tried using one wheel design, but it was too unstable.

  • I made a pusher trailer that used lithium batteries, one 700watt motor and a Kelly (24-120 v, 400Amps). I was passing cars and burning rubber for 1/4 mile before the motor lost a soldered point.

  • hi here is how you can use a 200W motor and make it work - less amps = more range

  • awesome rugged build

  • love the caster wheel nice job ...I have a E300 project?

  • way to go bad ass

I have built one wheel trailer. I pretty much copied the BOB trailers. The trailer is attached to the bike on both sides of the real axle. Very stable. If you get the head and correct it will lean real nice with the bike on turns.
