Dominick DeRubbio calls us to Staten Island to protest Firehouse Closing! No Bloomberg!

Mayor Bloomberg plans to close down Engine 161 in South Beach permanently on July 1, 2009. We can't allow an additional 2-3 minutes or longer to be tacked on to response times for a fire/emergency in Engine 161's area.

He will have my vote if he backs down from the fire unit closings, and if he says the right things. Right now I"m undecided. I will evaluate each candidate. I'm a little turned off because he cut mass transit subsudys in his 1st term. Candidate that says he will increase them gets my vote.
