@pricture Spoken like someone underage. Fact is, without the rating system, parents wouldn't know how to begin sending their kids to certain movies. Not only that, but with the original "approval" system - where movies were either made or banned due to moral/immoral value - people wouldn't have to worry about "seeing what they want", since almost nothing past PG-13 would be made.
