Showing you round a local park that I've started to use for runs recently, gorgeous place. Also an update on what I plan to do with my collection etc.. going forward. Merry Christmas!
Good idea, stick to the nostalgic games, that's what I do and it's eally only because of nostalgia that we're all into these games anyway. That park will be lovely in the Spring / Summer.
I am exactly the same as you, except with CDs. I have almost 1000 on my shelves that really need to go, but I can't bring myself to do it! I literally never play any of them. I buy a CD, I upload it to the computer and then it goes on the shelf. I think it's just the collecting/organising I enjoy. I know one day I'll get rid but it won't be any time soon. CDs are dirt-cheap these days so I'd make a huge loss on them too.
good decision about Megadrive games dude, thats how I felt toward retro game collecting from the beginning,I think even if I could travel back in time and become a 12-14 yrs old kid again with unlimited money I would only buy games that were great.no need to waste time and money on bad ones.maybe you can use the money on super famicom or other quality retro stuff?
Well the obsessive part resonates with me as i'm sure it does with most - I often take a step back and wonder what i'm doing buying half the things I buy and as each New Year approaches I always promise myself i'll address the 'collection' but never really do or if I do then I soon slip back into old habits.
I think the happiness of collecting anything though (games or otherwise) has to come down to you wanting it because otherwise it'll always seem a waste of time and money.
Ahh good old salty park, i done my frigen back in there fella after playing basketball on the courts that were there when i lived over that side of the water a good few years ago :)
Nice work on the running Ian and good to see you in a different place for a change.
Saltwell Towers looks just like the sort of property i dream about living in and the whole park looks like a beautifull place.
I know where you are coming from about the whole collecting thing and i really would like to slow down on buying games because i can feel the addiction you speak of.You can always borrow your games after you sell them to Damian and Jake lol
