  • Well, first point, something i always say, Argentinian players play with their hearts for the glory, other players play with their wallet to get more money, thats the reason why all of them want to be on international competitions

second, i think he is considered the 4th player in the frahchise because he is not only a good player, but also a good person, Tony just wants to score more and more and get more MVP's

  • Well, I'm from Argentina and I know that players increase their level by playing at NBA., the BEST basketball league of the world, and just by being there players are at the top of their capabilities. So "we owe them" that.

On the other hand, it's well known that there's the chance of getting injured but...

Play basketball, representing your country, bringing joy to all the fans of this sports in Argentina. And showing kids that everything is possible...

    That has no price.

  • I wonder why this guy isn't gone already. He choses salary over playing for your country. In other words:

    Capitalism > Patriotism.

I don't think that's the currently promoted trend.

  • First, if you are a great player, a disciplined one, you can play in the summer and not be truly affected by it. Dirk missed only one summer as far as I know, so did Manu. If you are tough and hard working, it doesn't matter.

  • agreed. He brings the energy and passion needed to carry the team. That's why he's such an important player, being able to change the pace of the game when he leaves the bench.

  • the european league is way more long than the nba one, but they still play for their countries

  • what does it matter how much they make, as long as they play well?

  • ultra fuckin ps: manu mannaged to kick your sorry asses in the olimpycs and then in the nba season without any problem.

The land where he was born and learned how to play will allways come begore anything, a lesson you americans will never understand.
