after viewing ur video ur gun is doing the same as mine the slide hold open doesn't securely lock the gun when your doing it manually with an empty magazine. Please take a look at the video when you cocked ur gun with an empty magazine and see how the slide hold open didn't' go all the way up, i mean it barely secured the gun, this happened with me twice after i cocked it the gun snapped twice.

important to all lc9 owners. when you manually cock the gun with an empty magazine the slide hold open will not go all the way up which sometimes makes it snap back and hurt you if u hand ur finger in the chamber, this doesnt happen when ur shooting the last round because the cocking is so hard or if u have to cock it manually with the magazine up make sure you cock it all the way backwards with a Little power. Please let me know.

Nice gun, I just picked one up. Also, a little FYI, Sig is using plastic guide rods now as well.

Re: the pin. Ruger provides two "keys" with the LC9. They are used on the right side of the slide to push out the pin. A lot easier that way.

@thecajunblaze does the lc9 have metal frame rails that the slide "slides on"?

i cheeked one of these out yesterday it had the longest trigger pull I had ever seen. maybe i am just a glock baby but ya long pull. in retrospect not a bad thing i can stage it 3/4th in one pull and then fallow threw. when i first tried to stage it i thought the trigger would never stop going back lol good gun though i am sure once you practice with it .

LC9 has a lot of useful features but I HATE the manual safety.
It's totally unnecessary. Lawyer-crap that clutters up the operational simplicity you need in a good defensive handgun. There's a reason Glocks and Kahrs don't have a manual safety.
Ruger got it right with the .380 LCP design -- no manual safety or other unneeded features. Point and pull. It's a shame they screwed up the LC9. If they have to make a separate model for states like Mass., then they should do that. Kahr does.

I think this or the PF9 will be my next gun
I fondled one at the gun show, it's really nice!
I was really thinking of getting one until I realized that my 3 inch barreled Kimber is very close in size, I'm gonna stick with the .45 for now :D

@thecajunblaze would this be good for a first pistol since it has a good pricetag and a good rep?

@krazy4knives Depends on what you want your first handgun for. Personal carry weapon or home defense?

Awesome informative video... the auto focus noise your camera was making it a little annoying, but still a great video despite the extra camera noise.

@bigoo7e sorry about that.
