If the govt is concerned about alleviating hunger in Kenya, we would hear of its plans to curb it in future. Anyone heard something on what the govt is doing on this? I guess not. The leaders are too busy AMASSING WEALTH and POWER to rule over the destitute forever. These are the strategies used by dictators. We can cry for change till our rectums come out but the politicians know what they're doing. The impoverished will still vote them in in the next elections. A few of us KNOW what change is.

Man please! blame whoever you want, even if there was plenty of food around these people would still starve. Lets be realistic. At Kenya's most productive times, when we would travel to the country side people would still beg for food because they were too poor to afford it. The famine and maize scandals now are just highlighting this issue. The government should really invest in the country side. I mean what are these people's prospects even if it started raining today? $.75 a day?
