About La Charanga '76
La Charanga '76, with Hansel y Raul as lead singers, became one of the top Charanga Bands to come out of New York in the mid '70s. They were one of the key groups in popularizing and maintaining the Charanga Cuban Sound, exemplified by La Orquesta Aragon throughout the United States. In the late '80s Hansel y Raul split from La Charanga '76, to pursue separate careers. Throughout the years La Charanga '76 has continued to perform and keep alive the infectiously danceable rhythm of Charanga music.
