"Victorious Nation March" played and automatically repeated on our restored Edison Triumph Model "A" Phonograph.
This particular model A is a transition piece as it's mechanics are placed in the box of a model B.
This beast is not electric! It is powered by 3 massive springs and the whole thing weighs in at a whopping 49 pounds, not including the crane and nickel-plated horn. The repeater is the part that looks like a drill bit. When the carriage reaches the end of the record, it drops down and engages the repeater which is rotating in the opposite direction. The carriage is brought back to the beginning where it catches on a small piece of metal, lifting it back off the repeater.
We have been able to repeat a record 6 times on just one full crank.
