  • She is amazing!!

  • Stephen Lewis is a socialist who apparently believes that aid dependent countries should be at the mercy of socialist countries who can't survive without capitalist countries. Mr Lewis can't seriously believe that garbage!

    Good show Hernando!

  • Botswana Pula remains the strongest currency on the African continent compare to the South African Rand which comes in 2nd place. The mechanism of Black Economic Empowerment float like a Butterfly and sting like a Bee. NEPAD, SADC, East African Community (EAC), Southern African Customs Union ( SACU); ECOWAS and the African Union are responsible blocs for economics development.

  • De Soto makes an interesting point - but one that I think applies more to Latin America than Africa. I feel like Dambisa is talking about Africa and De Soto is talking about Latin America, and especially Andean and Amazonian South America.

But I agree with what he says. Anyone who tries to mistakenly defend tribal rights by fighting for tribes' exclusion from the modern framework of property rights is only working to make things worse by taking their ability to use property away.

  • Although it's n=4, it's still interesting that the pro side is from developing countries, and the con side is from developed countries.

  • De Soto made an interesting point about capital and property.

  • Dambisa Moyo, excellent points well made.

  • Part of this is missing. There is a whole portion of Stephen Lewis's debate where he does go on a bit of a rant, but it's missing. It's good and powerful and should be included.

  • Foreign Aid is the Zomibification of Africa period. We all need Treatment Action First.

  • dude at end is smart / has good point
