@Biervampy I'm not sure either, but I've always loved this song by them. I am familiar with the story of Lorelei and the place on the Rhine. I just figured this always to be one of the best songs the Pogues ever recorded (especially without Shane) no matter the origin of their inspiration. I've got German blood in my veins as well so I understand.

Dear Nafa, I don't understand what Lorelei has to do with Eire. Although I' am a lover of Eire and the Pogues, but I'm German, and it is ours.
