  • Hi!! contraptio!!

I know which is the problem.

The problem you need paint the muscle of the model, how you can you do that? Is very easy just select the character ang go to the animation, don't polygon, hair. Is in animation and now search one draw like a color black with line green and then you see your character change to color black. Select the bone and then some part of the body for example the hand change to white, and paint it. Good look...Take care. Bye!!

  • thanks for that

  • cool thanks for that. i don't really get what you mean by all this but if you could find a tutorial that would be great i have already searched for some

  • thanks man really appreciate it

  • Yeah, I've had this same problem too. D:

  • you need to paint weights

  • select your bones, then model, then go to bind skin.. then find and select 'Paint Weights

  • You need to split your geometry at the joints and then parent the geometry to each joint. This way, the geometry will move with the joint. I am taking a class in this at Full Sail University, trust me, it will solve the immediate problem, and enable you to go from there. Don't bother with paint weights for now.

  • if ur problem still isnt fixed i would suggest going back into ur model and checking that the models arent linked somehow. it seems that every time ur hands move, ur legs do too. go to ur hands or legs and delete the history. also if they are attached and not by the history u can try to seperate or ungroup the 2. good luck!

  • when (if ever) you'll be desperate by the results obtained paintings weights and after to have learnt how to correct the errors using Mel scripts and amenities like that try a search here in YT for "The face machine"

    watch?v=J0KxxAGAo2c

by Raf Anzovin, from his channel you'll reach his site with his plug in for Maya named "Set up machine",it's an autorigger and all your troubles will be gone forever ; )

  • got to the options of the paint weights and u select the joint that u wish to start painting then you paint what areas u what that joint to control takes a while then go to next joint and do the same untill u done all the joints making sure the arms dont pull on silly things like the legs. worth getting some pro videos about maya if your new or a few books. hope this helps if not msg me and i will do a quick video
