Great video..the music is stupid and disturbing..-but still 4 stars for the video..Why would you put a copyright protected anoying song on an original video-i don understand..

Awesome video
-
I just found a turboprop version of this on a zenith - puts out 451 pounds of thrust! Burns about 12GPH and nominally makes 90BHP I read.

Amazing video...ruined by unnecessary music!

Don't lean your head back pilot.

Great video, thanks for posting! Jim Gordon, my hero! ...so much so, I built a turboprop ultralight with a similar type turbine engine.
-
this is so beautiful, sight, sound & all
-
Do you need a type rating to fly this? I was not sure if experimentals fell into the turbojet type rating.
-
Great ! Thanks I want one of these

How much does the engine and the entire aircraft weigh?
As I remember, it puts out about 80lbs of thrust. Someone did do a turboprop version but I dont know if it was ever completed. Try doing a 'web search' for JFS-100 and you might find it...

It's a JFS 100 jet starter turbine converted for turbojet use...just do a "web search" on it for more info. I first saw it at the Sun and Fun in 1996...very cool!
