My grandparents had greek names but that doesn't mean they are greeks! their names were hellenized during the WWs and Greek Civil War but name cant change our identity and blood!!

Makedonia is so greek as Athens. If Athens belong Skopje I fold...

Considering many genetic studies (not HLA) show the ethnic Macedonians have genes from the historical inhabitants, and considering before 1913 ethnic Macedonians were found all throughout geographic Macedonia, I would have to lean towards #1. But I do not feel Greek, I only feel Macedonian so I am sorry in that respect... but hopefully we can be Orthodox brothers in the future.

I have been researching for many years and I have come to one of two conclusions:

1) The Macedonians mixed with the Slavs and were assimilated under the Bulgarian/Serb empires

2) Ethnic Macedonians are a new ethnicity which arouse in he 1800s after the place of location, Macedonia.

Everyone knows Zigomanis is an Aegean Macedonian (except Greeks).
