I would recommend a custom dyno tune for any modification above a turbo back exhaust system. A custom tune should give you a few more kW's and further improved driveability in some case, but an extra 10kW is a freak event.

@DrewII This vehicle was custom dyno tuned here at ChipTorque and perhaps this car was a bit of a freak. Other examples of ChipTorque's plug-in Ezy-FLASH Pro pre-loaded with tunes have made around 164kW ATW. So you could at least expect that with a power run on a dyno local to you. Custom tunes will normally make more power as we can tailor the tune for the vehicle.

thats insane from just a tune. is this because it was a custom dyno tune? would i be expecting 178kW ATW with a pre-loaded remap on standard exhaust? i'm thinking of ordering one from you guys in the next 4-5 months. i live in sydney so i'll be ordering a plug and play with pre-loaded maps without dyno time. however i would like to dyno it after to see if the power were similar to 178kW.

Yes this vehicle either had a stock exhaust or maybe a rear muffler change only. Total power 178kW ATW! Made more than 30kW extra in power through the midrange.
