Wait/fast fowards 2 minutes into it to see the best part!

I took my Pleo to Sea World more so in an experiment to see what the animals thought of her rather than just for fun. Though it was a lot of fun too.

Things I learned:
Moray eels see Pleo as a threat
Reef fish see Pleo as a friend
Pleo enjoys looking into clear blue tanks.
Pleo reacts positively to dolphins
And dolphins respond just as positive back
Sea World trainers rock!

Ugobe said they were "blown away" with this video :D :D :D

Anti-Sea World/Anti-Captivity posts will be deleted ASAP. I want this discussion to be about the video ONLY. Not about the rights and wrongs of keeping marine mammals in captivity. Find another video to discuss that, please.

Also, on a sad note: RIP Sharky. About 4:30PM, I heard sirens and they sounded very close to the park, like right inside of it. I was correct. Around that time, Sharky, a dolphin at Discovery Cove died in a freak accident (collision with another dolphin) during a jump. I had worried at the time that maybe a visitor was being rushed to the hospital, but now I know it was one of the animals. She sounded like she was a fantastic animal to work with. My condolences to her trainers.

  • They do not only breed them but save ones

That are in a dangerous area such as an area with other predators and relocate them to sea world

  • @vernonvideos They do not remove any animals from the natural environment because of "other predators". If a shark or killer whale decides to kill and eat a dolphin, that's the circle of life. Sea World only captures injured and sick animals. If the animals heal and get well, they get released back to the wild.

  • I would feel really bad having to take pleo away from the dolphins..It's like they have made a new friend and then it gets taken away from them...:(

  • Cute, I wonder, if they can feel the infrared camera in his nose, or some other kind of energetic field from him? Wow!

  • If this was in sea world orlanda I believe I was there ,you seemed very happy from the positive reactions

  • Aww, so cute! :3

  • Aaaaah

  • @sirensgrotto HI. I just got my Pleo 1 week ago today and only his right nostril flashes the infra-red light. Is the left nostril also supposed to flash? Someone told me that the left only flashes (transmitter) and the right doesn't (receiver). I need to know in case there is something wrong with my Ozzy :) So far he is acting normal and cute! PS I LOVED THIS VIDEO! Both the dolphins and Pleo were so cute!! :)

  • Oh how cute!! This is a great video! Thanks for sharing!

  • @NikkiesMommy2008 Many years ago Sea World DID capture wild dolphins but they stopped that. They breed their own animals. And have such a high population of dolphins often sell or loan them to other aquariums, thus those aquariums won't get wild dolphins. The dolphins slaughtered are sent for meat to several countries, mostly Japan and other areas of Asia.

  • @NikkiesMommy2008 Sea World does not buy wild caught dolphins. Yes, they use to, to get a captive stock. Now they breed their dolphins in captivity by natural methods or artificial insemination. There are many aquariums around the world who do take wild dolphins from captivity, but you need to educate yourself better. Sea World is not one of them. That's not to say Sea World is perfect. Their life expectancy of their dolphins is low. But they do not get wild dolphins

  • @sirensgrotto Thank you for the video it shows that dolphins are so self aware and were examining that Robot. I agree with you don't allow those to use your cute video as their soap box. But I am using it to show those of the 3K members of the save the blood dolphin campaign about dolphins self awareness. Now that you know please join us in our campaign to save the dolphins that are being slaughtered to fulfill the request for animals from Seaworld?
