Laverstock, Wiltshire, where three secondary schools and the village primary school are side by side with almost 2000 pupils. This is Friday at 3.19pm when two secondary schools and the primary school all evacuate at the same time.
This is the fourth of four videos, representing a continuous flow (loose form of the word) of school traffic.
The pupils and the community want the traffic removed (1100 pupils responded to the Parish Plan survey) and just about every pupil stated that they enjoy coming to school in a village environment and beautiful downlandbut hate the traffic at school times.
There is a simple solution - use the nearby park and ride, if you must come by car. It is round the corner! Underneath the cars lies a brand new, 'national best' cycle way, which is used frequently at all other times...but impossible at school times.
The use of Yellow Buses would soon eradicate the need for cars. They work in Southampton and Winchesterwhy not at Laverstock?
