i think the piston has a blind edge we dont see to hide his ceramic rings.
if the engine runs 3 or 400 deg so what
but most diesel run cool the key here is the compresion ratio. i say it can set in a tube of water like fairbanks &morse and run cool , another factor is the engine loading is still the same. and his motor
might use the same amount of fuel as a 848 cid motor .. TO RUN the same temp
if he uses less< temp will rise

North America and the world alone is IN DESPERATE need of innovation to conserve on fuel consuption.
I truly believe in this product and i would love to have one to replace the so called 'dinosaur" technology that is sitting under the hood of my vehicle

this guy is a scammer . if the engine really worked he would show a running engine instead of a prototype display model.

If he had it in a car and was driving around in it for a documented proof that it actually ran then maybe he would get some real attention.

Scammer may not be the correct word. He dreamt the configuration design he needs someone to make it fit the desired applications.

This is not a new concept at all; go and research about inventors like Tschudi,Kauertz,Virmel,Bradsha w (between 1925 and 1963). Some of them actually got the engines to run,but the prototypes never lasted due to the immense load on the crank because of the stop and go or scissors action of the pistons. Due to the load on the cranks, inventors afterwards avoided crank system, and used elliptical gears;all work well on paper but no practical engine have been produced yet.

The air car is already in existence. I think the idea is great but the engine is too complex and heavy. This runs on air so just put it in MDI's air car!

Japan will do what it does best, see ideas and make them realities. Some might call it stealing but like the saying goes "If you're slow, you'll blow". Okay the saying is a bit retarded but the point still stands and Japan will make this engine if he does not.

Electric cars is still too expensive and it's limitations reduces it's practicality for most drivers. It'll be good for the rich and elderly but that's all. What this guy is promising would indeed be the answer we were looking for. But I must agree with you, currently it is still just more empty promises. I do hope he is genuine, I would love to see this become a reality.
