@sabellaanne The first minute of this work was used a boss theme in Castlevania: Belmont's Revenge to great effect. Nothing else by Bach has ever appeared on a Castlevania soundtrack, though Yamane took after his style.

@NiriuqK Well, Gould did claim to be not a particular fan of this piece, at least as far as Bach's works are concerned.

I really like his performance, both for Bach and Beethoven. In my opinion, his Jazz is not that good, compared with some American Jazz player of course. For me it is pity that he did not focus on classical music. Now all his records, like Mozarts sonatas, Beethovens sonatas and Das Temperiertes Klavier by Bach, have become classics.

I actually like this version better than Glenn Gould's (which really very seldom happens as I am a great fan of Gould)
