This is the theme music to the 1981-1993 version of the syndicated American show "The People's Court". The music is titled "The Big One" and is composed by Alan Tew. This is the complete theme and it contains several parts that were never heard on the show.

My Father would have been very happy with all the people still enjoying his music. Today is the 16th anniversary of his death. thank you x

Why in the world would family guy bring me here. What brought me here is a love for retro shows.

I'm into the art of sampling (reproducing portions of music which was already produced) and there are songs that randomly come to mind, and this song came up, which brought me here. After doing research on who the composer was, I happen to see your comment, that he was your father. He was a good composer. Now I have listened to this composition in its entirety several times, and appreciate the instrumentation. Thanks Nancy for sharing this vintage history with us. Cheers.

Family Guy makes lots of nostalgic references to 70's and 80's, mainly shows of the time. I think the main reason is that the creators and writers of FG grew up during those years and are now poking fun at some of the things that they remember and couldn't quite figure out back then.

Your father was an arranging/composition genius. I can only imagine the great musicians he had at his disposible to do this.

This song is also in the sleazy 1979 grindhouse film Malibu High.
