I don't understand the dark tone this video is trying to take. A zipline is the most efficient way to travel. This looks like a blast, and to me sounds like a creative solution to their infrastructure problem.
you assume they want be in civilization but they probably put a lot of value in living where they live. I would too. It's the education that's worth it for them to go across the zipline every day.
gravity isn't equal to acceleration, though. acceleration is one half multiplied by speed² divided through way. and the weight, that is to say the 'gewichtskraft', does vary indeed: it's the 'ortsfaktor' (unfortunately i don't know the english term) g (9.81 n/kg in middle-europe) multiplied with the mass.
that's insane, can't they just move their asses to build a proper connection to civilisation?? and come on, might seem fun at first, but it's just sad, you know, that the government doesn't consider 8 people to be enough to justify building a bridge and therefore forces children to go through this twice a day, even to carry their brothers and sisters in bags with them, hello? what is this? i just don't get it..
what if they accidentally let go of their brake?

it is faster. gravity does pull on heavy and light objects the same, but the more weight helps more easily overcome the friction created by the pully

Cocaine, Columbia.
Makes sense. You'd have to be on it to do that horse shit.

year one of physics.

no.
gravity (therefore acceleration) doesn't vary with weight. Gravity is equal for feathers and hammers. Day 1 of physics.

faster yes, because of an increase in acceleration as long as you don't consider the higher air resistance.

"the heavier the load the faster and riskier the ride"
uh, riskier, yes. Faster no.
