it's very amusing (and sad) that idiots like xxxdarksidexxx and DM2A4 want to complain about Mel Gibson, instead of understand the purpose of the video.
1) That is NOT Mel Gibson in the scene. (it's Angus Macfadyen) a brilliant character actor. 2) The scene is not about your stupid small minded views of someone's personal life. I can understand why the media made you think that is important (and the irony is that it further makes the whole point of the clip) WAKE UP, you are asleep. trust me.

@TheHexeract Yeagh but if it happened today then Wallace would not have been arrested and executed would he? We don't tend to execute people in western Europe if they've been arrested - even if we regard them as terrorists. Though if Scotland was invaded by England and Wallace was fighting in the name of the Scottish govt itself and actually leading the official Scottish army then he'd be a rival combatant.
