  • that is so so cool. the water moving

  • Cool! I read about this in your book actually (pp.300 and on), before seeing this video.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • My department has one of these. I actually have a homework paper with a problem or two about the equations of the chaotic waterwheel due this Friday. Chaos is cool.

  • It means that you can produce energy for your household when you get a shower with green coloured water!

  • cannot understand the audio where you named the wheel ...sounds like malkus waterwheel.and you havent bothered putting it into the text info.

From my point of view, please omit the long boring intro. are you waiting for students to turn their attention to the monitor? i imagine that is why you do that. This is youtube . i gave you my attention as soon as i clicked your vid. put credits at the end. and interest me enough to read it. i came here through cornstarch peterbation vids fyi

  • would that energy input be taken from the household water pressure from daily water usage? it could be possible to convert water pressure and flow rate back to electricity when you take a shower for instance,,,but how much?? just a thought

  • This particular unit might not look like it has much utility, but non-linear dynamics may have a promising future in energy "production."

Imagine everything from coal to hydroelectric becoming obsolete. Imagine generators with a small footprint being able to generate energy for a household for an entire year on very few [and very cheap] inputs.

People would absolutely spend money on that -- but at any rate, this video is just about the unpredictable motion pattern of a particular machine.

  • interesting characteristics! what type of applications would with this water wheel have?? as a sales rep. i see no value in it. who would spend money on it??

  • great videos.

  • Thanks for posting these. I was trying to upload them for somebody but I fail at video, apparently.
