I'm a lot older than you,I think,so my memories are a little different. It would probably depend on where you were but I remember that the 90's weren't that different from the 80's;crystal meth became more popular than crack, alternative rock took over the airwaves for a couple years, nostalgia for the 1960's replaced nostalgia for the 40's and 50's,the Soviet Union died,MTV stopped playing music, the U.S. divorce rate spiked at just over 60%,Bill Clinton replaced George Bush Sr. as POTUS.

I grew up during the (late) 90s. All of that sucked ass. Nothing but pretentious douchebags. But 'Blade' was dope.

PARTS of the 80's were dope, but some parts of it also sucked ass. There were cell phones, but they were the size of bricks and weighed about as much, there was no internet,MTV played music, the U.S. economy improved then fell on it's ass a few years later, crack got to be real popular, there were the two good STAR WARS sequels, vcr's and vhs tapes meant you could see any movie you wanted to whenever you wanted to,all the good STAR TREK movies were made in the 80's,punk rock was reborn in California.

The 80s must have been dope. But I can't help to speculate that all the people on this video had hairy genitals. LMAO.

You can hear it easily. Mostly, the drum and tempo were run through a filter. The chorus, too, but on a different channel. Then slapped on a faster (120bmp-ish) tempo.

Just pay attention to the drums (amongst other things), and sub the synth round the 2:50 mark for it. You'll hear the "Blade Riff".

By taking the chorus, running it through a filter, and putting it on top of a completely different song. Plenty of remixes done in a similar manner.
