They do. What I always remebered about buying each new DM album was trying to "figure out" the cover art. For example: the Herron wrapped in plastic on Speak and Spell. What did that mean? I used to think there must be some link to the songs, or some symbolism.
But as I got older, I realized it was just art. I'm guessing some was the band's own art, others were commissioned from artists they knew.
DM's music did with notes what Dali did with paint. Pure art: surreal, exotic, beauty.

"A broken Frame", y "Construction Time Again" reflejaban mucho esa tendencia de la musica tras lo que fue el apogeo del Punk y del Hard Rock de los 70's, yo considero a esas portadas como un ejemplo del renacimiento y de las nuevas tendencias surgidas en èsa decada, y lo que vendría, me encantan las fotogreafías utilizadas ahí, aunque las portadas que les siguieron, ya fueron tambien parte de la tendencia ensombrecida de la musica de los Depeche. Geniales éstas dos portadas...

Not bad at all. I've always liked Depeche Mode's album covers, and my absolute favorite would be "A Broken Frame," and "Exiter" being my second.

@johnnyjeans2 The name of the song is "The Landscape Is Changing" and is on his third album "Construction Time Again"
