Just something i needed to try out, i want to see peoples reaction to the film.
I wanted to see if people read into a story that wasnt there. If you slow film down, make it black and white and add a sad soundtrack does this create emotion in a film about nothing?

it does indeed. however, you might have made the black and white filter a little less extreme.

of course the music is going to create an atmosphere when your film is about nothing. the music already creates an awareness of emotion by its inherent nature, but the real problem is your images add nothing to the mix. this mearly shows that, yes, the music you selected to accompany your images is sad, but offers no other commentary on your thesis of the images role.

my last comment posted before i finished it! Basically the music you have chosen creates a depressing feel to your film, maybe the boy was leaving his room for the last time or on his way to somewhere he didn't want to go?
