That looks like Jerry Dunlap driving the boat. No, it won't do 55-60, about 45 MPH tops.

I think that 60 mph or more might be difficult. It is possible to get it close to 55 mph though, but in order to do that you need to tweak the hell out of the engine. For example, you need a tuned pipe and you need to experiment a lot with different props, also custom made props. I can recommend this boat, but keep in mind that it is a tunnel hull hydro boat so it requires a dead-calm water surface to get the most out of it, or it will flip very easily. Just one question. Although they say it can top 55-60 mph, is that true. Some of the comments i've read by other you tubers indicate that these claims are false. Bottom line is do you recommend buying one ?
