Spearing is leading with the crown of your helmet... Thats not roughing the passer, he clearly had no time to react to stop himself from talking him.

I guess the white hat could call that spearing but I don't see a late hit on the QB.
I think I would have let that one go and NOT have thrown a flag.

Initial contact was wit the helmet on the shoulder. That's spearing.
