There is no official meaning assigned to the folds....

There is no "official" meaning to the folds, but meanings have been ascribed to the folds. It is not anyone's place to say the folds have no meaning, because to many of us who have served, many of us who have lost loved ones, and many others, if we fell the folds have meaning, if we read words to that effect at the folding of the flag at a funeral, then it has meaning, if only to ourselves. I will be performing a flag-folding ceremony for my grandfather's service tomorrow, and will be reading.

For you people being negative, get a life. Those folds mean something to someone, so they gave words to express. Just like your expressing how much lack of respect you have. Get a life and look up something else. Why did you even search and comment. Your a joke! Really!

the meaning of the folds have been assigned by numerous entities, after the fact. the truth is mathmatical, the number of folds are directly proportional to the size of the flag
