It was great to see Scorsese finally get a statuette, but considering he directed films like Goodfellas, Taxi Driver & Raging Bull (all masterpieces & should've been deserved Oscar winners) it's unbelievable that it was only The Departed he won one for, which is good, but NOT a masterpiece.

I love this movie, simply amazing. I can't believe this is the first Scorsese movie to win Best Picture, Raging Bull and Goodfellas also deserved to win.

@arynaq It's not a "rip-off", it's a remake and in my opinion it's much better than the original.

i don't wanna piss babel fans off but that film was alittle up it's own arse, and a yawn to boot. scorsese as everybody knows should have been a 3 time oscar winner at least by the time he won this. but they never actually win for the films they're supposed to, do they.
