good job! as for me - 7620 is more comfortable to play...

Hmm its a tough call. Perhaps the mids are scooped a little more on the RG7? With the UV having a slightly brighter sound?
Either way I am led to believe that both models have the same Dimarzio Blaze pickups.
Thanks for the upload btw. The nice, consistent playing makes the call even harder to make!

7stringist is there much of a difference between an RG7321 and an RG7620?
-
A friend of mine owns a UV7 and its just the best Ibanez i have ever played...and i have played hundreds
-
uv is more rich sound but its twice more expensive and rg 7620 you can find in ebay 400 -600 eur now days also verry quality instrument for that price
-
7620 better

to my ear UV sound a bit glassier than 7620. both are great guitars though.

got to love the rg7620, one of the best 7 string guitars that ibanez has made, thats why people allways look for them more, the UV its more atractive with diferent pickups and more expensive still i prefer the neck on the 7620.

For sure not a difference enough to justify the price.
BUT ... money also has to do with how it FEELS to you when you play it. I have sold expensive Strats to play certain MM strats since I found they FELT nicer and player very similar.
BUT ... that is why I neve buy before I TRY

I think the universe has a lot more quality to the sound, but I consider it to have too much carachter... If you play it, nomather the amp, you gonna hear that it is a universe, for better or for worse...
whats the neck profile like on the 7620? is it quite thin? like a 550 lets say? can someone reply to this comment so I check back! ^^

7620 has wizard-7 and UV has UV neck. I hardly feel any difference between their shapes but the big difference is finish. 7620's neck is mat finished but UV's feeling is almost natural wood.

little , subtle difference . but that makes all i think .
'going to get real dimarzio blaze in green for my 7620 as soon as possible*

actually, the difference of playability is far much bigger than sound and that's really important. I don't know why but uv is absolutely better in the overall quality, even though 7620 is also more than $1000 instrument.
