The Story of Chinese Mooncake Festival

The Chinese Moon Festival is on the 15th of the 8th lunar month. It's also known as the Mid-autumn Festival. Chinese culture is deeply imbedded in traditional festivals. Just like Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese.

The Moon Festival is full of legendary stories. Legend says that Chang Er flew to the moon, where she has lived ever since. You might see her dancing on the moon during the Moon Festival.

  • I TELL YOU ARE I AM A FEMALE I TAKE CARE OF VAULUBLES NICELY! I have a pretty Barbie doll which i used to play ever since i was young. It is now nice and no head or anything is gone!

  • Do people actually take these stories seriously? These types of stories are always just fiction, that are supposed to be symbolic and teach a lesson... not actually believed as a real event that took place . But then I guess its no crazier than the crap they believe in the western religions. Is there any place in the world that doesn't believe in this delusional fantasy bullshit?

  • Nice moral hahaha I think she should have tossed the bottle so that even if there was quantity enough for Feng Meng to drink it, he'd be in trouble if he tried. Then again, perhaps Hou Yi and Chang'e both could have drank the bottle together ^ ^
