A long video - mouse eating action starts about 12 minutes in. First I feed her the large gecko to see if she's interested... then the mouse... Malay Pit Vipers are odd striking snakes. They are very calm until they just jump-strike and surprise you. ViperKeeper on Youtube calls these "finger-rotters". You can guess why. Her fangs are LARGE for a snake under a meter. Watch how she walks the mouse into her mouth and throat using the fangs as fingers. Very cool. Don't miss the strike at the end - which I had no idea was coming.

Camera: Sony Cybershot H20. I converted the mp4 file using Quick Media Converter (free) to put it into a 1280x720 .avi. from there I used moviemaker in XP and created the movie and rendered it in 720x480 at high quality (250+MB) for YT. All this instead of get a MAC Powerbook and use iMovie or Final Cut. I think the quality is OK - gotta check once YT gets through rendering it.

  • this isn't cruel, it's nature. The cruel part is him keepin animals in the first place. Who needs a snake? what the fuck do you do with it? can't play with it, can't handle it. Pointless. It's like have $100 bills in a safe you don't have the combination for.

  • @Scotty2DopeMB Agreed - I don't keep snakes long-term, just long enough to get some good photos, videos, and hopefully some video of them eating. Then I let them go - usually where I found them.

  • dude your awsome, don't let people tell you it is CRUEL it is not it is nature at it's FINEST by the way my friend has two snakes and they get hungry and need to eat every WEEK just so you know... loved the footage if you can get your hands on a spitting cobra that would make awsome footage

  • @megatron981 Well, I have a friend that was snake hunting and came upon a spitting cobra in the rainforest and he had his eye spit in! Gotta find that video, it's short and sweet. He rinsed it with water immediately and went to the hospital and he's fine. Said it burned a LOT. Look through my subscriptions on my home page and he's called "thekiller" with some asterisks or something. Check out his video. Great video. So glad they got that on film.

  • @thaipulsedotcom I got bite right on the the foot, and we had to prize the snake offf me from the bite, the snake was a eastern rattlesnake, and i didnt even have to go to the DR

  • @iamsunburn Jesus man - you got TIGER BLOOD or WTF? How'd you pull that off?

  • That was a dwarf winter white russian hamster... not a mouse. Poor him. =\

  • @imGoinGhetto I don't know... life isn't fair for anything. I saw a kid today at a Buddhist temple in Thailand. His nose was split in 2 - horizontally... like someone hit him straight on with an axe. It was a birth defect I'm sure. Was that fair? God doesn't care about fair... sure you might have a real nice life for yourself. Look around at the rest of the people around you - there's a whole lot of 'unfair'. I didn't start this...

  • you musst cleaning the room and the cages! save the planet!!!!!

  • What was that noise it made when it bit the hamster?

  • That's a hamster, not a mouse

  • Wow. You should check out a channel on here. The guy calls himself "Viperkeeper." He has many Pit Vipers and he handles them, feeds them and waters them with water bottles. Of course, he has his own method and is very educated about snakes. This was interesting as I have never seen one eat a live mouse on video. That tank you have is very cool. I like how it is all glass with no plastic edging like in the US.

  • Malayan Pit vipers..originated from paninsular Malaysia..its a common snake of my backyard

  • LMAO: To the gecko clinging for dear life lest it come out of the bottle and be poisoned to death and then eaten: "What are you, nuts?"

I think this is the scariest snake video online: I would *hope* that a snake's owner exercises as close to absolute control over every controllable aspect of handling a hot snake. This would be especially important when handling the snake's food item. Food is the one thing I would never scrimp on.

  • its really sad how you "keep" her..in that piece of shit tank with no heat source and a jagged edged plasic bottle for water?? Some tore up news paper and a handful of substrate...can you imagine the stress you are putting her in??? Good lord man..You have balls to keep her but your set up sucks
