  • like most people say, Tarantino is a slave to the homage... hell, his movie company, A Band Apart, is named after an old Jean Luc Godard film, who was a Felini contemporary.

  • @cmblack yeah i noticed that a lot in Tarantino's work, dont get me wrong i love his movies. i just find it interesting to see where his influences stem from

  • Pulp Fiction > Band apart and Fellini 1/2, both overrated.

  • Have you heard about the words "Homage" or "Reference"?

  • I shouted out during the movie, Hahaha pulp fiction stole this scene

  • @carlosche11 It's homage, not ripping off the scene. Pulp Fiction is constructed of tons of homages to other movies.

  • YES I NOTICED THIS TOO

  • @underlockandkey09 someone....anyone??

  • the first thing i thought after seeing this movie for the first time was, i cant believe tarantino had the audacity to blatantly rip off a beautiful scene like this.

on a side note, if anyone has seen the brothers bloom the director also used this song in one scene where the two main characters are dancing.

nice little acknowledgment to this masterpiece

  • Or the song name - it's been bothering me for weeks now!

  • Does anyone know what the music is called?

  • @BlogSnob yes! however, this is the first mention of 8 1/2 and Pulp Fiction I've found on the net. I always that Tarrintino mentioned Bande A Parte as misdirection of his blatant rip-off of Fellini

  • that's exactly what I thought when I saw 8 1/2 a couple weeks ago :)

  • I thought the same exact thing ha ha

  • Personally I always thought this comparison makes a lot more sense than the one everyone tries to make with Band of Outsiders.
