  • Your welcome! I have sent you an email through youtube email

with some info to help you with XP.

All you need to do is log into youtube and in the upper right side of the screen just click on your account name and choose "inbox". That will take you to your youtube email.

  • I do remember the filmstrip view in explorer but I dont ever remember being able to see embroidery designs using the film strip view, only photos.

We dont have the same exact ability in windows 7 anymore but we do have something similar.

Open explorer and navigate to a folder with photos and click on "Organize", then click on "Layout", make sure you have a check mark next to "Preview Pane".

FYI: Your explorer will crash if you put a check mark next to "Detail Pane", so leave that one alone.

  • Sure, I can help

I sent an email to your youtube account with the instructions to fix it. All you need to do is log into youtube and in the upper right side of the screen just click on your account name and choose "inbox". That will take you to your youtube email.

  • great vido. what tool did you use to create the video. it is a great way to share information about a pc based program.

  • @dukecoco Thanks, I used all free software, "Camstudio" to record it, "Sizer" to give me quick way to resize my screens to a preset size I choose. They recommend a few other small programs to help with converting/compressing and editing, VirtualDub and Any Video Converter. There's a large amount of youtube videos on camstudio to help you.

  • This was a big help! I recently bought Embird, and this helped a lot, especially the tip about setting it so the large icons always appear...having to set that each time was driving me nuts!

  • thank you for this infornmation. It is very clear, very well explained, and you are very confident in manouvering around the computer. How luckey we are to have such a teacher as you.

  • Thank you for a clear tutorial. Do you have one for XP ? Also I am interested in other Embird tutorial video's - is there a link I can follow ?

  • Hi - thank you for all your help, you answered all my questions. But I have one more - when viewing embroidery files there was an option to customize the folder so you could see a "filmstrip" of the designs, do you know how I can do that in Windows 7?

  • I've had trouble with the Iconizer on Windows 7 since I got my computer a year ago. Thank you Thank you Thank you so much! Finally I can see my designs.. :)

  • Thanks! I now know how to prevent Embird opening my pictures and pdf files.

  • Thank you so much - great tutorial, I couldn't have done it without you! I have a question about windows 7 and embroidery files. On the old windows there was a bar at the top "folders" that you could click on and it would be like a split screen - you could see all of the folders listed on the left side and all of the icons on the right side. It made it easy to move files into a different folder. Can you help?
