samsung series 5 chromebook next generation http://www.netbooknews.com the new Chromebook has ditched the glossy lid for one that is matte finished. The notebook will still sport the same 16GB of storage, as it primarily relies on the cloud to store your documents, and a 12.1-inch (300-nitt) widescreen display. The second-generation Series 5 Chromebook is slated for release in Q2 of this year. The Chromebook will run you about $399 for Wi-Fi and $449 for 3G.

  • They need to Dramatically reduce their price range to interest a large market.

  • @perry1691 it is made to only run the Chrome OS. That's it. It's not even a barebones machine--it's less than that. Put Ubuntu on a netbook.

  • @miodowar69 To surf the web and WORK online tablets are a pain in the behind, while the Chromebook is design, configure and optimized to surf the web and WORK online. If you only do casual surfing, to check something out once in a while but do a lot of interpersonal communication (twitter, facebook, instant messaging, etc) and consume a authoring and online REAL work then get the Chromebook.

  • It's great but I'd rather buy a new android tegra 3 tablet...
