Why doesn't London have a lot of skyscrapers like other major cities like New York?

@LordoftheKaty I presume because there is not the need. However there is also the problem of how far people must travel to get to work. Maybe planning permission is not granted - one of my pet hates.

@alanheath Hmmm, interesting. Well, I really find the ones that are popping up very intersting architectually. But I ask this because I am a major skyscraper buff. lol
