LIFE ACCORDING TO PENNY

The first few minutes to the short film LIFE ACCORDING TO PENNY. John Lyde was the Cinematographer and editor on this short film. Carlos Sanches did the Sound Design and Mix, Stefania Barr from The Second Quarter Quell and Caitlin EJ Meyer from Katniss and Rue star. Look for Emerald Green from Finnick and Annie. This was the first time we met her. This was written by Sally Meyer who wrote our films Abide With Me, You're So Cupid and Minor Details. The rest of the Mainstay regulars worked as crew doing multiple jobs - Paul D. Hunt, Paul D. Green, Jed Ivie and Kevin Lyde.

The short film was directed by Ali Barr.

Penny and Lila are two throwaway girls who are in a home for wayward girls and the film tells of their escape from the man who runs the home and how Penny's faith in Jesus saves them from danger as they plot to escape by crawling under a fence to freedom.

Wow, just watching the first short minutes...the clip felt really deep and you can't help but be drawn in by the plot! Great acting on Penny's part! Will try to find the rest of the movie.

@blackzabbathfan Eventually you will have access to the rest of the story but this 19 minute short film will be promoted while touring festivals this year. We are looking for funding for a feature length film so we can tell the whole story.

@Aar0nXZX This film is about victims of abuse. Penny is in the denial stage, until Lila's innocence makes her realize that she must act to save both of them.
